Groton, NH Specimen Size: Pair of 11 mm clear-milky whitlockite crystals in vug with siderite crystals. Second photo is of 0.7 mm whitlockite crystal on siderite spear. Field Collected: Dana Jewel Catalog No.: A Dana Jewel specimen Notes: These are very large whitlockite crystals. Their position in the vug makes it difficult to show their crystal form. The smaller crystals in the vug are more photogenic.

SCAPOLITE Joppa Hill, Bedford, NH 3.5 mm terminated crystal SCAPOLITE Joppa Hill, Bedford, NH Small scapolite crystal at top of this 3.5 cm specimen.	Species: SCAPOLITE Locality: Joppa Hill, Bedford, NH Specimen Size: 3.5 mm terminated crystal. Second view shows overall 3.5 cm specimen, small scapolite crystal at top. Field Collected: Tom Mortimer - 1990 Catalog No.: 734 Notes: Tetragonal symmetry evident when viewed down "C" axis. EDS analysis of "Scapolite" from Joppa Hill has been determined to be K feldspar pseudomorph after scapolite. This small crystal appears to be unaltered, so may possibly be scapolite. This specimen is cataloged as a pargasite specimen, because that is the prominant species present, (the green-black blades).

Field Collected: Tom Mortimer - 1990 Catalog No.: 737 Notes: This appears to be a chrorite pseudomorph after scapolite.

MICROCLINE/ORTHOCLASE Joppa Hill, Bedford, NH 3.5 cm specimen (vertical) with K spar crystals to 8 mm MICROCLINE/ORTHOCLASE Joppa Hill, Bedford, NH K spar crystals to 8 mm	Species: MICROCLINE/ORTHOCLASE Locality: Joppa Hill, Bedford, NH Specimen Size: 3.5 cm specimen (vertical) with K spar crystals to 8 mm Field Collected: Tom Mortimer - 1990 Catalog No.: TBC Notes: Pargasite, quartz and titanite are also present on this specimen. K spar crystals such as these are rare at Joppa Hill. Brown stains on feldspar were not removed with half-hour treatment in Iron-Out and ultrasonic.

Species: SCAPOLITE (pseudomorph) Locality: Joppa Hill, Bedford, NH Specimen Size: 6 cm specimen with 3.8 x 2 cm scapolite/pseudomorph prism. Field Collected: Tom Mortimer - 1990 Catalog No.: 1557 Notes: This is the largest scapolite/pseudomorph specimen that I found. Calcite, vesuvianite and grossular are also present on this specimen. A sample grain from this specimen provided the source for one of the EDS analyses of this material that indicated a K spar pseudomorph.
